Traveling Boards, a service-based board game pop-up and events company founded in Verona/Cedar Grove, is proud to announce the launch of its first Holiday Board Game Drive, running from November 10 through December 7. The company is collecting board and card games, which will be made available for purchase at Toni’s Closet in Montclair, NJ.
Toni’s Closet, located at 73 S. Fullerton Avenue, provides affordable access to repurposed houseware and clothing items for individuals and families in need, through a genuine shopping experience that strengthens their independence and maintains their dignity. In turn, the proceeds are used to fund the food ministry at Toni’s Kitchen, also located within Saint Luke’s Church.
Traveling Boards spreads the board game hobby through community events, fundraisers, pop-up events, and private parties.
“We know budgets are stretched very thin for many folks these days, and we wanted to make it easier for them to acquire quality board and card games ahead of the holiday season,” said co-founders Anthony Battista and Chris Barrows. “And we’re very grateful for our local businesses who agreed to serve as collection points for the drive - Cedar Bean’s Coffee Joint, Threefold, and Paper Plane Coffee Company.”
