It’s one of our favorite times of year here at Traveling Boards - spooky season! And while we have a vast selection of boo-tastic games in our library, here are five that are guaranteed to be a hit for every ghoul.
Ghost Fightin’ Treasure Hunters
A cooperative game where players team up to retrieve all the gems from a spooky mansion while battling pesky spirits. Success means getting all eight gems outside before the house is completely overrun with ghosts. A simple roll-and-move game that is fun for all ages.
The hit train game gets a fun Halloween makeover in this kids’ version of Ticket to Ride. Instead of locomotives, players are collecting sets of not so scary parade floats in order to complete routes on the map. There are bonuses for connecting different locations like the Foggy Lighthouse, Pumpkin Patch, and Haunted Mansion.
What a table presence this game has! The box becomes a three dimensional haunted house “pinball machine” where players will flick their dice down the board, attempting to knock out monsters, score multipliers, and even mess with opponents’ dice. Everyone will want to give this a whirl!
The horror franchise comes to life in this cooperative game that uses a custom app for a truly immersive experience. Players try to get through each scene of the movie by collecting and trading cards with each other. But beware Ghostface, who will randomly call players demanding certain items - fork them over or play the ultimate price!
Easily one of our favorite titles - it gets played all year but even more in October! The franchise now has six games in total, all which involve players working together to thwart the threat of monstrous mayhem. Take on heroic roles to battle classic baddies like Dracula and the Wolfman, local urban legends like the Jersey Devil and Bigfoot, otherworldly entities like Cthulhu, and even venture into the realm of Dungeons & Dragons!
